JG BLACKBOOK OF TRAVEL:

In the world of Soapbox Studios Design, Creative Director Jay Wilson and Designer Chase Curry wrapped up the annual JG Blackbook or Travel. The catalog which features various countries and cities around the world showcases some of the most prestigious hotels, resorts, and ports of call found anywhere. Wilson and Curry worked very closely with the JG team who is headed by President and FounderJena Gardner.




HERE TO SERVE RESTAURANTS:

Jay and Chase also lent their expertise to Here To Serve Restaurants in Atlanta. The company approached Soapbox Studios in mid-2009, looking for a complete visual overhaul of their web presence. The design team sprung into action, and delivered a cohesive browsing experience, complete with 9 distinctly branded sections for each of H2S's unique eateries.

COCA COLA:

Soapbox Studios recently completed an internal multicultural project for Coke. Creative Director Jay Wilson and Designer Chase Curry lent their expertise to create a colorful presentation tool that will be used within the Coca-Cola Company.

RED BULL:

Soapbox Studios Editor Andrew Swinney recently worked with our friends at Red Bull to create a two and a half minute piece that will be used internally for presentation purposes. Red Bull is one of the most recognizable energy drinks worldwide. The company, which began in the early 80’s, has expanded its reach and annual sales are in the billions.




OFF SEASON:

Soapbox Studios Director of Audio Post Production JC Richardson is being heard from Palm Springs to France. That's right Richardson who recently completed sweetening for Deena Lombardi's short film; “Off Season” is making its rounds thru the film festival circuit. The eleven-minute film documents a young boy who is trying to find out about a dog who was involved in a bizarre accident, and a father who is trying to protect his son from a truth they both know. The film was shot in the United Kingdom at Shoreham-by-Sea, and funded by the UK Film council. Cheers!




12 FL OZ:

Nikos Mavrommatis finalized several weeks of audio production for 12 FL OZ, an independent film brought to Soapbox by Dalton Harpe of Standoff Studios.




STARS DON'T JUST COME OUT AT NIGHT:

Aside from Soapbox Studios “regulars” that we see on a weekly basis. Our studio has played host to a few very recognizable faces during the past few months. John Gidding, host of HGTV's “Curb Appeal”, has been recording VO within our studio. Actor / Mad TV alum Will Sasso was also recently seen in our halls recording VO for an upcoming Tv show that will also feature SNL comedian Molly Shannon.



CNN:

When CNN had an idea for their Sunday Lineup promo they looked no further than Soapbox Studios Compositor Brian Simmons to give this piece a distinctive edge. The promo uses various graphics elements and moves to create a real standout spot. Writer/Producer Margaret Anthony worked with Simmons on the :30 promo that is currently airing within CNN.




ADULT SWIM:

Soapbox Senior Compositor Kevin Thomas recently worked with Writer/Producer Matt Hutchinson from Adult Swim on a mock infomercial that ran during the holidays. The spot, which was shot and produced by Hutchinson, presents two hosts from the Gem Network based out of Atlanta.  AS items for sale during the mock infomercial included a Carl doll that can shed his many layers, as well as some very rocking Metalocolypse figures.
GA LOTTERY / HALFTIME SHOW:

Soapbox Studios recently was contacted to mix a piece of music for the Georgia Lottery that would be used during the halftime show at an Atlanta Falcons game. The Georgia Lottery has provided over one million 4 year olds with an early step into education with its funded Pre-K program. Music Manager Josh Houghkirk worked closely with artists and composers to make sure their client got exactly what they were looking for.



SOAPBOX MASHES IT UP FOR CNN:

Composer/Sound Designer Nikos Mavrommatis worked with CNN producer Margaret Anthony and designer Ned Reid on the new Sunday Line Up spots featuring the John King, Fareed Zakaria and Christiane Amanpour shows. Mavrommatis' "mash up” of a Mozart- type string piece with some bottom -heavy Taiko drums illustrates a sense of urgency and is currently airing.
WHITNEY HOUSTON, KEANE AND MORE:

Over the past several months Soapbox has been hard at work putting the final touches on projects for hit artists: Whitney Houston, Gucci Mane featuring Usher, Keane, Toni Braxton, and Mariah Carey. Mixer extraordinaire Phil Tan continues to add his magical touch to the ever-expanding A-list music clientele, and that list only continues to grow going into 2010.



2010 OSCARS:

Soapbox Composer / Audio Engineer Nikos Mavrommatis recently worked with Artistic Image and TNTLA for the upcoming 2010 Oscars. TNTLA hosts a red carpet show just before the big event, and will utilize Mavrommatis' score for all the upcoming teasers, promos, and packaging.




   
SCOUT MARKETING:

Soapbox Studios recently worked with Scout Marketing. Executive Producer Chris Schulte helped to helm the shoot and post work that was done by Soapbox's multi talented team. Soapbox's Production arm setup the shoot at Dad's Garage. The footage was brought into our studio and came to life with the help of Director of VFX Larry Williams, and sweetened by Audio Engineer Don Schmid.



AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS:

Creative Director Jay Wilson and Soapbox Studios Director of Visual Effects superstar Larry Williams recently created 3d elements for TNTLA.s presentation of the American Music Awards. The annual awards show that was created by Dick Clark is one of the top rated annual music awards shows globally. Williams worked with Writer / Producer Gabriela Guerrero to create graphics that would be used throughout the promos and packaging.
HLN:

Soapbox Studios divisions pulled together to assist HLN with their “One Thing Leads to Another” campaign. HLN held a shoot in New York with Nancy Grace, Joy Behar, Jane Velez-Mitchell, and AJ Hammer. Once footage was brought back to Atlanta it was up to Director of Visual Effects Larry Williams, Senior Compositor Kevin Thomas, and Compositor Brian Simmons to create some magic. Meanwhile, Soapbox's Music Division headed by Josh Houghkirk created a variation of the Fixx's “One Thing Leads to Another.” After video was completed the spots were passed to Soapbox's Director of Audio JC Richardson for final sweetening. The spots were produced by Becky Shurts and Design was overseen by Jenny Specker.
